Would You Like to Help Us?

Volunteers are an important part of team Howe!

Volunteers do various projects at the library and help us to improve our services to the community. Days and times are usually flexible. Some people volunteer weekly, some volunteer occasionally for special projects and others serve on library committees.

Some examples of current volunteer projects:

Preparing new magazines for circulation
Putting protective covers on new books
Assisting at the circulation desk
Keeping the new book area in order
Assisting with library programs and exhibits
Delivering books to Etna and Howe Libraries
Home delivery courier
Mending damaged books
Assisting with the library book sale
Special events and projects

If you are interested in volunteering, please e-mail or call Heather Backman, the volunteer coordinator. She can be reached at heather.backman@thehowe.org or at 603-640-3252. You may also download, print and fill out a volunteer application and bring it to the library.
