Book suggestion from the Howe staff: Homer and Langley a novel by E. L. Doctorow
A free imaginative rendering of the lives of New York's fabled Collyer brothers depicts Homer and Langley as recluses in their once grand Fifth Avenue mansion, facing odyssean perils as they struggle to survive the wars, political movements, and technological advances of the last century.

Rapid Reviews: 30 Books in 30 Minutes:
Our second annual Rapid Reviews was presented at Hanover Area Rotary on June 9, 2010. Three Howe staff (Joan Ridgeway, Ellen Lynch, Mary White) and one Hanover resident (Carole Stashwick) reviewed a mix of new books, old books, fiction and non-fiction. This program will soon appear on CATV.
